Paarl is ever an optimist. He always wants to believe the best in others, and he will happily help his friends when they're in need.

Usually it's a very bad idea to confide in a Pearlcatcher, but Paarl is different. He eagerly takes in juicy gossip and damaging secrets, but he never shares them. He's actually one of the safest dragons to get advice and moral support from.

For an inexplicable reason, he's drawn to Lisa, his polar opposite. He's one of the few that has ever seen her good side, and he dreams of a day where she can share it with the world. By getting involved with her, he compromises his own well-being, but he deems it a risk worth taking.
