Sonrisa is the Spanish word for smile, as one explained to her by a fellow ward of state.

Risa is a strong, quick witted dragoness with no place, really, to call home. Her ancestry is unknown as she'd been in the StaHo as long as she can remember. Trained in piano, this was her path to unwinding; Risa's less-than-perfect performance made her susceptible to "budget cut" to make home to newer, younger orphans. Shortly after, she and some other teens were shipped off to be unwound. But, after a fatal bush crash caused by later-boyfriend Connor, she went AWOL. Losing function of her legs after an explosion, Risa was Unwind-proof- until being blackmailed by Proactive Citizenry.

Risa continues to play piano today, and is an amateur medic, trained only off books.
