Wordie words go here. Most likely a great deal of them. We will keep the original story, or at least the part were she was trained as a youth to spread the word of a growing belief system. Kuki will have traveled a bit, but never found anyone receptive to her sharing of her teachings. When she gets to Port Wildwind she is stopped before she could even start and ushered towards the temple if she wished to share her teachings. At the temple she found out why no one really wished to hear her message. Come to find out the doomsday, submit yourself to an overlord idea wasn't a popular one. No one ever outright refused her the right to practice, but they did make it clear that she need not push her ideas on others. Over time, she came to enjoy the freedoms offered by the temple and the clan and came to the realization that what she followed was a cult. One that was driven with oppression and ultimate control. She would denounce her old beliefs, not to anyone's surprise, and focused on making people aware of cults and what they do to the individuals in them. She ends up taking classes in psychology and journalism and became active with making sure people get all the information they can about controversial topics. When she discovered the region, which was large when she arrived to it, had no formal form of communal communication (they didn't even have radio) she started a newspaper. It was a struggle at first, but she soon had the backing of the founders and government officials. Now the Concordia Daily Herald is sent out to the entire region and some places beyond and is know to be an impartial publication, dedicated to informing the public about important topics. |
