Cirrus walked the halls of trees that made the clan camp, living in the Everbloom Gardens was never easy, larger clans always preyed on the smaller ones. The bright green leaves made no sound as they were stepped upon. Cirrus made sure of that. She was walking the trail to see Nightwing, whose sleeping grounds were on the outskirts of the campground. Brilliant smells and sounds erupted around her, a constant reminder of where she was. As she neared the small hanging nest, she heard loud growls and dragon-like yells, she hastened her pace to find out what the commotion was. It was her daughters, Iriluna and Isasorra, and Nightwing, all talking at the same time, there were no words Cirrus could make out. Their facial expressions changed with each word, no happy feelings were seen or felt.
"Everyone stop and please tell me what in the Gardens is going on!" Cirrus screamed almost at the top of her lungs, trying to break up the fight. Iriluna turned her head with an apoplectic sneer on her face, breathing heavily with her jaws clenched. "Thanks for stopping in mother, we were just having a lovely conversation that has been needing to happen for a long time!" Iriluna crescendoed her growl into a sarcastic yell, her signature form of speaking. Isasorra mirrored the look that Iriluna had, countering her usual look of pout and mournfulness. Nightwing was more shocked, his stance showed that he was recently defending his claim, sitting back of his heels and cradling his pearl. "iriluna what has gotten into you? Why are you acting like this?" Cirrus said hastily, and breathily. All four dragons silenced themselves, Iriluna took one step towards Cirrus, took a long breath and gave the most infuriated look she could muster. "Because, every single time I talk to others, I can feel their pity, their frail, empathy ridden looks, and I always know its because you couldn't raise me right. You encouraged them when I was taunted for my behavior, you couldn't even show me enough love to teach me to write, or even draw!" Iriluna paused but didn't lose her pace. "Ever since I was even born I have been looked down upon, I wasn't eye-catchy like my parents, and I didn't even act like them. You couldn't care less if I was exalted, I bet you'd be happy if I were gone! You were an incompetent and negligent parent, and every dragon around can tell by just looking at us!" When Iriluna was finished Cirrus had tears running down her face, the raging feelings in her daughter's head was too much for her to handle, and she fell apart.
"I hope you cry about this, remember the moment when I finally snapped and couldn't take the discrimination any more, mark this day as the moment I stopped caring about what others think, and told you how I truly feel about you!" Cirrus's sobs came out wet and blurred her vision, all Iriluna's words blended together and Cirrus simply couldn't take it.
Isasorra was so shocked she couldn't force a word out her mouth, neither could Nightwing. Isasorra knew that Iri harbored bad feelings for Cirrus, but nothing this infuriating. Isasorra almost cried herself, not really knowing why. "Iriluna I didn't even know-" Nightwing tried to sound sincere, but Iriluna was beside herself with anger and the line of fire only shifted into NIghtiwing's direction.
iriluna started to talk but many dragons flooded in from the treetops, likely wondering what was going on, Iriluna just took it as a chance to finally expose her parent's defective actions.
"And as for you, Nightwing, I am simply disgusted by how you act, so high and mighty being the son of Scogel, You are a disgrace to society yourself. Not even once you spent quality time with me or Isasorra, not once. We grew up insults to our family heritage, all because you couldn't toughen up and father a few hatchlings to be exalted! It would be a dishonor to call you even a mediocre parent. I can't even believe this went unnoticed for so long, the signs were all there." The crowd that was watching was in total shock, Scogel separated himself from the group, looking quite indignant. "Preposterous, this argument is petty and should be resolved immediately, Nightwing, I am quite disappointed in you." He spoke with so much authority that everyone went quiet, even Cirrus's dismal sobbing. Iriluna almost wanted to listen to him, but she had something to finish first. "Yeah, I bet we could Scogel, but Nightwing and Cirrus had this coming for them for a good long time, and I'm just getting started." Iriluna felt a small pang of regret in her belly, no one interrupts or disagrees with Scogel, no one. this feeling was different, Iriluna relished this feeling of pure defiance, she had been craving it for the longest time. She continued with, "As you all know, Nightwing was never perfect, far from it really, but he always had an alibi in his parentage, always retreating to them when someone poked at his ego. He was a despicable father to me and Izzy, let us become the shameful individuals we are now." She paused "And if-" "Iriluna stop, th-thats enough." Isasorra's soft remark almost echoed around the silent clearing, her sobs made her sniff and cry, eyes wet and red with tears. Iriluna's pride completely shattered when she saw her sister's face, forlorn and filled with wet sadness, too stunned to reply, Isasorra continued. "N-nightwing and Cirrus get the message, if you fight and hurt them It will only make it worse, *sniff* I think they knew what they did now, let's talk about it with Nuage." Iriluna finally considered what she had done, looking around she saw Nightwing crying as well, string at the ground and blinking tears. Cirrus was red in the face on the ground, avoiding all eye contact. Then she saw the crowd of dragons, all completely shocked and stunned. A shuddering fear rose within her, the craved defiance was gone, it had clouded her senses and put her in a blind rage, what had she just done?
