Ingvar was ashamed, he lost a mate and lover and could not be wise enough to save her. though she left behind two children, but all Ingvar saw was his own failure. It would be best to try again, let the children go be what they wanted to be, find another mate. So Ylva trekked off, her curious nature driving her to travel every which and way. Her curiosity ended when she almost lost her life running from a feral mirror pack. Ylva's claws were surprisingly sharp, and her sneaking skills equally deft. But a pain churned in her skin. Her opal gene, passed by her father, broke her skin and scales, sometimes drawing blood. Ylva ignored this, pain drove her on and gave her scales impenetrable by heredity. Then she met Kimba. A calm face to a pliant tundra, she felt safe around him almost immediately. He realized this young spiral was Ingvar's spawn, and convinced Ylva to return to Clan Verdant with him. It gets mighty lonely being one of the few plague dragons there. She arrived to a group of dragons that were uneasy to be around her, Ylva learned to ignore them, put on a smile, prove to them she isn't what a lot of her flight are. Her only friend was Kimba for a long time. As for her breaking and irritated scales, Kinari and his assistants didn't know how to help Ylva, it was a hereditary and genetic pre-existing condition, as he identified it. She was advised to use it to her advantage, her handicap can also be her weapon. As for her profession, Ylva became a spy of some sorts, her missions varying from life-threatening to generally just petty gossip. Sometimes she is paid by her own clanmates to spy on others, its good money, and this gets her the best gossip anyone could have access to. Back to the more important business, Ylva is often Idavale's right claw, whispering into her ear and then fluttering off. Some dragons in the clan are still uneasy around her, being so quiet and able to get you to say what she wants to hear with only her own words. Mayhem is her best friend, whenever Ylva isn't on a job she is with May, helping her along like a fairy godmother on her shoulder. May appreciates her friend being there for her, guessing it would be out of pity. Though it's more than that, Ylva sees the good in her when everyone else sees only her father, a trickster and malevolent dragon, who blackmailed her mother into returning to the scarred wasteland with her. The clan was surprised when they saw three eggs hidden away, churning with opposing energies. Mayhem was the most stable of the three, able to abate the war in her mind. Her father, with his noble lineage, had formidable plague magic, and her mother did as well. Ylva didn't see an abomination of death and life, she saw balance and flowing magics, though vastly hostile to each other, made perfect symphony. A rare oddity in the lands or bursting life.
