Biography
C U H V E T A N A The Abomination of Death and Magic Training Mage, Current Emissary Sensitive / Driven / Content / Powerful crews to amehime STATUS - Average Physically, Heightened Magical Potential ETYMOLOGY - [ Cooh-veh-tah-nah ] In Celtic mythology the goddess, Cuhvetana, is a variation of Cuda and Coventina. She is the goddess of fertility and healing, earthly pleasure, also springs and wells. RELATIONS - No Parents or Siblings, possibly a connection to emperors through her power. BELONGINGS - A few assorted blades and things to carry on the road. An arcane amulet, meant for a hatchling, tied around her horn. Clothes to hide her body from judgmental eyes. OTHER INFO - She can pass for a guardian dragon, but she still gives off an aura of wrongness that it tied tightly to her power. Her many eyes are all independently looking at the same time, its pretty hard to sneak up on her. BIOGRAPHY- ~ An egg from the spires of the crystalspine reaches fell and tumbled from it's safe perch. it hummed softly as it kept falling farther and farther away from its nursery. The magic contained on this small life would be enormous when the dragon hatched, but the magic it held could not stop the egg's momentum. Small creatures glowed softly as the egg continued its path. Soon it reached a ledge, the great expanse of the scarred wasteland was just over the giant horrid membranes that held it to the lands. Teetering over the edge, the unattached dragon seemed undecided on its destiny, but soon gravity took the egg as its next victim. The arcane egg fell silently, and careened for the bottom of the vast crevasse. Darkness soon enveloped the small life, but solid ground did not rise to meet it. A dark, untouched pool of potent plague magic let the egg splash into it. The magic surrounding and protecting the small life within bubbled and smoked in a feeble attempt to protect the inhabitant. The immensely powerful plague magic was no match for the misplaced egg, soon the magic contained in it was snuffed out. A terrible creature was gliding through its home when it came across a strand rock. multiple eyes stared at the tiny object that still a gave a small hint of radiance. The beast opened its many pairs jaws and showed rows upon rows of serrated teeth, the plague river feeding its power. An emperor, wading softly in its solemn abode. One head stuck out from the rest and studied the small rock, waiting for something to happen. The most intelligent head nudged the rock up to the surface of the pungent river, green smoke and bubbling plague goop was only home to the emperor. The lead head brought the egg to the surface, sensing a living body within it, but also recognizing the magic it had within the egg. Lifting its head, the head gave out a low howl. The other heads turned their glowing eyes and malformed necks to their leader. He lowered his head again and looked at the egg with luminous red eyes, spikes and bare flesh everywhere. More emperors wallowed toward the first beast, letting out similar growls and hums. Soon a congregation of hideous grotesque beings surrounded the tainted arcane egg. The emperors shifted their many heads and growled and snapped at each other. All of the evil creatures were transfixed by this new entity. Soon a giant emperor with a grand total of twenty heads walked into the meeting and all the emperors present bowed their heads. This great being was the eldest, he has swam these rivers since the first emperors roamed the lands. His power was immense, bot just in size, but the magic that had infested and grown within his body. With this power, he spoke through his mind. The eldest lowered his head, mouth able to easily swallow a full grown dragon whole. Eyes, though everywhere, all focused on the hatching egg. Serrated horns and spiked antlers created a sort of crown on this head. He cooed again to the hatchling. She was a small, brown and gold guardian. The magical energy that she was born with and the one given to her fought for control. The bright purple of arcane twisted around the dark, distorted plague energy. The swirling mana became more condensed, twirling closer and closer to the young dragon. With a bright flash of light, both magics found a place within her. A new, gold aura surrounded the hatchling. All the heads of the emperors were intrigued by this sight. The child looked up to the beasts and cried, the eyes along her body blinking and looking around frantically. It was something new, a different energy that emanated from her. It wasn't the dark and potent plague energy, nor the blinding potential of an arcane mage, but a gold aura that seemed to be a bit of both. The eldest emperor spoke once more to the hatchling. The last thing she remembered was the darkness becoming a bright light. Soon the world surrounded her once more, and she was alone. her hide glowed in unnatural light, magic intwined into her soul. The bountiful arcane magic she was born with still tangled with the plague magic she was gifted with. The small guardian found her name, Cuhvetana, she she overheard a conversation mentioning a legend about a great hunter called Cuhvetana. Cuh grew stronger, and smarter. her feet itched to travel, but her magic tied her home. Soon the confused guardian met a scarred and worn tundra, and they set out together to find a home. The duo traveled north, to the light and nature territories. Andraste, Cuh's companion, seemed all too eager to run away. The tundra knew Cuh was barely a dragon anymore, more a vessel for powerful forces. They crossed paths with another hunting party on the ports between the Labyrinth and the Hewn city, one thing led to another, and Cuh found herself traveling to the Gladeveins to greet her new home. Verdant, it was called. There she could drown out the calls of the emperors with the thunder of the forest. And with Andy and Ruelle by her side, Cuh feels more comfortable than ever.
