Captain of the Guard
"This clan is my family and I will give my life in its defense." Length: Standard Wings: Standard Weight: Standard A Fierce but Caring Mother Verena was one of the de facto governors of Clan Spinehome, a founding member oft considered by the orphaned hatchlings of the clan to be their adoptive mother. Though she often comes across as harsh and strict, Verena's primary concern is the safety of the clan-- she is fiercely protective of those she accepts as her own and would defend them with her life. Recently, she and her mate, Lachlan, have decided to step down from their posts as leaders. In the process of choosing of a successor, the two had spoken to a number of Spinehome's older residents. Nautica was uninterested, preferring to focus on her research. Armin wanted to continue traveling as a Beastclan diplomat, though said she'd lead if she had to. Skadi wanted to continue as a guard. Finkle didn't want the responsibility. Everyone they'd considered either doesn't want to lead or wouldn't necessarily be good at it. After a lot of discussion, Mikhail and Pavlina, already very close friends, were lofted to the position of joint leaders. Verena and Lachlan lost their daughter Armin to DERG during a heavy slew of attacks during the summer, along with a significant portion of the clan. Their only surviving child, Athena, grew up coddled because of this, but has since joined the guard with a powerful suit of mechanical armor. Verena worries about her and so does Lachlan, but there isn't much they can do about it. |
