Life isn't fair, Chi.
That was the phrase he would hear bounced around. Around and around, seemingly in a circle. It always came back to one dragon--him. Him, who thought life could be the perfect balance between life and death, fair and unfair, good and bad. Oh how he was wrong. When he was just a small hatchling he lost both his parents to murder. Most of his children to greed. His own clan to ignorance. It was a good thing he finally found a clan that would be willing to take him in--an allied clan to the one he had left. Perhaps it would be better if he had left anyways... He changed his name. He changed his looks. He even adorned a crown of fiery thorns to go along with his lair's aesthetic, though he wouldn't really say there was an aesthetic. The clan leader was, respectively, also an ice dragon. However he did respect them. He did respect the clan that had taken him in, the clan that had made him into who he was, and molded his life into something near acceptable.
But the blood of all his past crimes remained on his claws, and he only relied on alchemy to wash the stains that would not go.
