A sore loser ninety-nine percent of the time. Terrible at games. Takes too many naps. Doesn't like to admit he needs help until after things go from bad to worse. Has much in the way of maturing left to do. On good days he is optimistic and reckless in his endeavors. Impulsive.

in order to escape the clutches of a dangerous clan finnie was forced to pick up a bow and quill at a young age and murder before he could fly. he slayed three guardians and a looming imperial before being taken captive and subsequently having to cut a guards throat in order to get away. that's the tale finnick "finnie" claims is his past and most dragons of pendulum have good reason to raise a brow and have skepticism toward the story.
while not worlds best archer finnie is indeed known for having an alright shot and being able to creep through trees silently. his skill in stealth is duly noted even by the assassin karina. beyond that any credibility toward their dramatic backstory fades. they are far too small and lack knowledge of toxins and poisons to present any kind of threat to larger breeds of dragons. he cannot hold a sword properly let alone a dagger or smaller knife. he has zero knowledge of locations of veins and arteries along the body which further points to the entire tale being fabricated or a case of bizarre good luck.
no matter who doubts him--finnie adamantly insists that the events actually occurred. he becomes upset and irritated when others poke at him or tease him about the possibility that he might have exaggerated his background or fabricated parts of it for the purpose of impressing others or making him intimidating. unfortunately for finnie when he becomes annoyed or fed up his ears and fins flatten and he storms off to nearby trees in a manner best described as too small to be anything but adorable. he will stick out his lip, huff and puff, and sometimes trip over his own feet in attempt to be dramatic.
when it comes to avoiding responsibilities and relaxing finnie enjoys hiding out in the canopies of trees. his tiny form fits right between leaves and branches and he enjoys finding the perfect nook and cranny to cozy up in for a lengthy nap. this is known to cause more problems than it is worth because every so often the clan monarchs have to get ahold of him and will be forced to dispatch karina to track him down and escort him back to clan grounds.
finnie's stubborn nature has gotten him into trouble many times. he has a tendency to refuse help until the situation has gone from bad to worse. given his meager fighting skills and big mouth finnie is known for getting into fights with those larger and far more capable than himself. by the same sheer luck that might propel his backstory he has been saved from the brink of death many times by none other than pendulum's own assassin karina.
karina and finnie have a strange relationship that is unrequited on finnie's side and solely platonic on karina's end. finnie has taken a liking to the older coatl since she first saved him from a group of bandits near the border between the sunbeam ruins and tangled woods. though finnie never pesters karina or intrudes on her personal space there is no denying to anyone who knows finnie that he has a deep crush on the coatl and respects her for her strength and skill in fights.
finnie's love life similarly has had many other sudden ends. while his uncanny sense of luck keeps him alive and just out of harms way it does not carry into the area of romance and personal relationships. he struggles with commitment and beyond that his own sense of irresponsibility often drives potential suitors away. on the occasion finnie develops a crush on someone in the clan one of three things occurs: they are too old and politely decline (karina), he learns the dragons he likes someone else and turn him down (master), or he discovers that the dragon he has a crush on is not interested in relationships and rejects him (shadowforge). in any case--finnie remains single and continues to carry unrequited feelings for several of pendulum's own members, though he makes sure to respect their wishes and does not bother or harass them for such.
two dragons who manage to put up with finnie's aloof and occasionally petty personality are the energetic surfer smiles and the enigmatic cyborg lancet. both are never seen in the same place together but more often than not one of them will be found in the company of finnie. he cannot explain why but he expresses strong attachments and a sense of protectiveness toward the two. alternatively--perhaps he does know why but chooses not to reveal such in the same manner he cannot fully confirm the specifics of his background.
sometimes finnie makes remarks in passing regarding hubris, the stars, and keeping track of the wildclaw. he refuses to elaborate further and denies saying such in the first place.
goes by the nickname 'finnie.'
