Demeter, like Ami, is new to the outcrop. She was unsure at first, but as of late, feels that the warrior clan is like a second family to her.

Demeter stood still, her talons gripping the supporting rope of the balloon that she clung to. She sniffed the air, ears twitching as the breeze brought new scents to her. The pearlcatcher’s eyes passed over the crescendo in the distance, and she thought upon the fact that every time that she saw it she was reminded of the glory of it’s return.
She could see it again now, back when she was new to the culture of her homeland, and she had not yet gotten to have the honor of feeling the true wind’s embrace, to help her in flight.
She had been told stories of the crescendo and the breezes it brought like it would never return, but it seemed that the Windsinger himself smiled upon his children, for he brought back our dear crescendo. He reminded us that a modern dragon is simply not a dragon if she cannot feel the warm lift of her father’s breeze under her wings, raising her up to meet her brothers and sisters in the horizon, to fly forever free.
But nowadays there was change in the breeze, something ancient was awakening around the Windsinger’s children, and even Demeter herself did not know if her brothers and sisters in wind would truly be ready for whatever was coming. It troubled the children of wind more than they would likely admit, but the worries would soon end, one way or another. Tonight, she could only pray that what was coming would end well, and prepare for the battle that would come if it didn’t.
