He sees all, and knows all, the history of the clan is his to know and tell. He's a walking encyclopedia and keeps the history of the whole clan in his head. An immortal being imprisoned alongside Eigengrau with his other brother, Thought, who Keeps record of the clans present, including their needs and wants. Clan History - Eigengrau is born shortly after the War between the Deities against the Shade of feral Shadow and Ice magic. - Eigengrau is deemed "a public offence to the species known as dragonkind", locked away and magically tethered to a range of foothills known then as "The Permafrost Range" in the Southern Icefields. -He lies dormant here for more than 3 centuries, wandering the hills and tainting the area with his magic. -Lila, Laskje's father and general under the Icewarden, sails a ship down the river Arkes to trade with a well-to-do clan led by a tundra named Saphir. -Elementals find the boat and demand Lila's firstborn, Laskje, whom was supposed to be traded to Clan Saphir for his shapeshifting abilities. -Lila punches the elemental off of the boat. -The elemental throws his boat atop a mountain over the Clan Saphir in it's anger. -Lila is magically tethered there, and must stay there and start a Clan as punishment. -After about 100 years, Luminarie is born of two migrants in the Clan Saphir. -Clan Saphir has a revolt staged by Indigo, Saphir's sister. -Saphir "dies" to the public, but goes into hiding without telling anyone. -Luminarie escapes the clan during a fight, goes to the strange boat atop a mountain. -Lila dissappears, and is never heard from again, pronounced dead by the public. -Luminarie and Laskje become friends after this incident. -Laskje learns that Luminarie can shift, also. -Luminarie finds Eigengrau and asks him how to get free, he learns that he must be offered a weasel's claw to be free, Luminarie shifts into a weasel and cuts off his claw to free him. -Laskje, appalled at the fact that his friend would do this to free a monster, flees. -Eigengrau is free, but his magic tainted the land around him, keeping it in a permanent state of the balance between freezing and thawing, and mutating the animals there. -Laskje is caught by a traveling band of merchants and forced to change his face to that of a criminal so that they can get a reward. -Luminarie gets wind of the late general's son being captured, goes after him. -The bandit-merchants take Laskje to the Fortress of Ends, where he goes on trial and loses as the criminal he was disguised as. -A guard lets the word out that they captured a criminal, the same time that the general's son was caught. -Luminarie gets there and tries to find Laskje in the dungeons, he succeeds but ends up getting locked up for trying to free a prisoner, is set to be frozen for also freeing Eigengrau. -He's frozen halfway when Laskje reveals himself and tries to fight the mages, and ends up getting badly frostbitten and back in the dungeons by the merchants. -Luminarie is frozen anyways, and Laskje is in the prison for hundreds of years -Sometime during this time period, Eyuri, the leader and founding member of the IMF, the Icewarden's Mageic Forces, is sent to re-imprison Eigengrau now that both Luminarie and Laskje are imprisoned. CURRENT DAY -Laskje is evacuated by members of the Deity's Court, they say that the dungeons were cruel and the one he was in wasn't one that they knew of that was under their control, it was run by a group that wanted to slowly kill off the Ice nobles to gain power. -Spoopy and Tuppence find the boat and take up residence. -They realize that the magically enhanced dingies still work, and accidentially fly one into the Fortress of Ends, freeing Luminarie. -Luminarie goes back with them and opens the ship up to anyone who needs a roof over their head or was rejected for various reasons from their Clan. -Onweder, a mysterious weather mage, appears and warns them of an angry immortal trying to find his liberators. -Laskje shows up a few days later, tracing his steps back to the ship from so long ago. -Happy Reunion(TM) -Pektzhefetsi is born to Onweder, and begins training as a knight. -Pektzhefetsi meets Frostmagic, a disgracefully discharged member of the IMF who won't mention his past. -Frostmagic reveals to the clan, after much questioning by Onweder, that he went Over, and allowed his own magic to completely control him, causing him to kill hundreds without any recognition of doing so. -He begs for room and protection from the clan if he promises to change his ways. -Luminarie tentatively gives him room and board, much to Onweder's disdain. -Not too soon after, in an effort to get on Onweder's good side, Frostmagic volunteers to help train Pektzhefetsi, and while he is doing this, he insults her stance and she punches him through the floor into the cavern that houses Eigengrau, freeing him. -Eigengrau thanks them and asks them to go back to the clan because he vaguely remembers Luminarie and Laskje -Halfway there, they meet a dragon named Dafrendzeig, and take him in, as he says he can be useful as a Mercenary and Weaponskeeper. -Eigengrau shows up and starts being a confused immortal, honestly can't work technology at all. -Sitcom inTENSIFIES
