Biography
Azoth
Azoth is an extremely intelligent alchemist who believes he is capable of creating anything from anything. He is stoic and cynical, yet extremely proud of his own capabilities. He simultaneously praises himself endlessly and puts down everyone else around him. After all, nobody else is capable of doing the things he can, so he is automatically better than everyone else, right?
But the dragon Azoth treats the worst is his daughter and assistant, Shamika. He believes that since Shamika hatched without the same natural arcane properties as him, she is inherently inferior in regards to alchemy — and in general. Shamika would do anything to earn her father’s praise, and yet she knows deep down she will never receive it.
Azoth treats his current mate, Torfri, and his other children significantly better, perhaps because they do not encroach on what he considers to be his duty, his space, and his responsibility. However, just because he treats them better than he treats Shamika doesn’t mean he treats them well — only slightly better than he treats the rest of his clanmates. Even his family doesn’t earn his permission to bother him mid-experiment, and will face his anger just like anyone else if they do.
Despite his troubling personal life and rash treatment of others, Azoth truly is a brilliant alchemist. He is extremely intelligent, and it is rumored that his notebook is the coveted prize of alchemists across the land.
