The「haze of summer」lies heavy over the garden. A single cloud drifts by on an otherwise endlessly blue sky.

You hear something like laughter close by, mixing with the sound of waves far below. When you take a step to try and find out where the laughter comes from, nine bone-white birds turn to look at you from their perch in a tree to your left.

You feel their stares on your back as you turn and hurry the other way.

Malachi is a curious dragon who knows things he shouldn't, and sees the outcome of situations that haven't happened yet. His prophecies are eerily accurate when examined closely, though oftentimes it's difficult to do so since he likes to formulate them as vaguely as he possibly can just to mess with others. Somehow he seems to be able to deduce specific future happenings from patterns he finds around himself, like how the clouds look one morning, or what colors the first flowers of spring are. No one really understands how he does it.

He showed up one day to lend his services to the Sanctum, for reasons still unknown to most of the clan. Many who meet him find him cryptic enough to think that he must have had some kind of great cause, but in reality, he was simply bored and wanted a change of scenery.
