Lucy appeared one day enveloped in sand and smoke. She stood outside the temple like she didn’t know how she had gotten there, but was fine with being there all the same. She said that she was simply passing through, and therein became the first one to come to the Sanctum without purpose.

Instead of asking for anything, she started to help. The leaking roof in the hall was suddenly, miraculously fixed. The dented doors to the library somehow became as new again without anyone seeing someone work on them. The tools in the armory grew sharper, and the fire in the lanterns burned brighter.

The clan tried to thank her with extravagant wares, as is their way. However, she declined, stating that the only thing she could possibly ask for her troubles was a warm place to sleep and perhaps some good food until she was on her way once again. In the end, she never left.
