Jackson, the half blood.

Jackson didn't know how to feel when he was born. He was, unlike other newborns, already conscious. He could speak and, most importantly, understand what his parents were talking about. They spoke of killing him, the child the Oracle promised still not born. Jackson, unnamed and still fresh to this world, did his best to protect himself from his mother's claws. She was surprised, the hatchling bleeding her same black blood. She turned to Freakshow and told him this son would live. She named him Jackson, the son of Jack. Freakshow found this annoying but knew doing anything but what Mara said was stupid. Thus Jackson stayed.

The only being who was kind to him was his father's demon named Amaya. She made sure he was fed and warm. No one knew, but Amaya would've cared for him even if Freakshow didn't order her to. She loved him, and even if he was half demon she sensed the kindness inside him that her master used to have. Amaya was like a mother to him, even after he was fully grown and an adult in a brief five days. She taught him to hunt, fish, and forage. Even though his half-dragon self was a tundra, he found meat the only thing he could stomach, bugs being a tolerable second.

When he finally was strong enough in his father's eyes he was given his first order. He was to slay Amaya and become his father's demonic companion. At first, Jackson refused, being beaten and starved by his father in return. Despite no one but Freakshow and Jackson hearing of Freakshow's plan, Amaya found out easily. She went to the young half-demon, telling him in a kind voice to do it. Jackson continued to tell her no until she did something to him. She enraged him, casting a curse to make him feel uncontrollable rage. In this blind furry, he killed his adoptive mother.

As Jackson came to, he found black blood all over his fur, which now had a faint purple glow to it. As much as he wanted to cry, mourn, and scream he found he couldn't. His father was behind him and he could tell. He ate Amaya's heart, all the while only being able to shake. His father thought he had become a true demon, no longer feeling emotions. Little does anyone but his mother knows this couldn't be farther from the truth.

When he ate Amaya's heart; her soul, or whatever was left of her, became apart of him, possessing the necklace she used to wear. Freakshow knows none of this, but because of Amaya's soul, Jackson learned all about his father. She managed to help calm the furry he felt for his father, and now Jackson only wishes to carry out Amaya's last wishes. To remain himself no matter how hard the darkness pulls him in, and to save his father from the same darkness that has him locked away.


When Liem was born, another purpose filled Jackson. As much as he knew he needed to save his father, a stronger pull came to help ortect his brother. He knew Sam, he knew how she was. Even if his little brother became friends with her, his death would come. As Jackson went to intervein, Amaya stopped him. She told him his fate was sealed, and to wait to help and intervein. This pained Jackson, but he did as he was told. He watched his father beat Liem, leaving him almost dead most of the time. It pained him, but all he could do was watch.

He even watched as Sam killed him, her rage for Liem's father blinding her. When his brother fell, he was finally allowed to act. He helped bring his brother's soul back with the help of the clan's necromancer. When his brother was revived, he swore to be his brother's demon. He knew it wouldn't work perfectly, but he knew he couldn't let his brother hurt anymore. He now watches over both his brother and father, but allowed other demons to take his place as his father's main demon. No matter what, he'd save everyone he loved.
