______ For as long as she can remember,
Abyss has dwelled near the very bottom of the sea. She descends from a long line of sea serpents, and has never seen the light of the sun. Ever since she was a hatchling, she's exhibited a tendency to wander, and has always been the most willing to explore unfamiliar, potentially dangerous areas of the sea. As such, when she grew up she left home, off to explore even more unfamiliar depths.

______ Abyss left what she had known behind, setting off to discover the deepest parts of the ocean that had never before been seen. She dove deep into the trenches, discovering untold wonders and meeting fantastical monsters. After years of exploring, she still felt like something larger was missing, just waiting to be discovered, and so she swam even deeper, to even more dangerous parts of the sea.

______ Deep in a system of underwater caves, she discovered one of the ocean's most carefully guarded secrets; an idyllic underwater sanctuary. The Abyssal Cove, as it is known to its inhabitants, is home to ocean and coastal gods of all sorts, divided into two factions; the Sunken Flats, home to gods dwelling within the water, and the Sunset Flats, home to those dwelling outside it.The first mortal dragon to discover such a place, Abyss was overcome with curiosity, and couldn't resist asking to stay among the gods and learn the old stories of the sea.
