Codo is stiffening. He doesn't know why, and he doesn't know how, but he is slowing down. His chest is tight, and he cannot even feel his heartbeat through the suspiciously cool skin of his neck. The pouch at the base of his throat will not allow for his pearl anymore, apparently not flexible enough to expand. He had first discovered this unpleasant fact when he almost choked trying to store it while he worked on his experiments. Alchemy required both talons, and his tail busy mixing a solution behind him. Luckily, a clanmate was nearby and managed to dislodged his pearl.

Codo continues with his experiments, despite the set back of his own body's disobedience. He is getting closer to creating gold from stone, and he is not going to stop. He sets aside a few hours each day to try and cure himself, but that is not the priority.
