Nightshade stood at the shore of the Southern Icefield looking out at the ocean. She ran away from her clan in the Water Flight to only cross half of the continent just to get away. She was cold and not to mention lost. Trekking into the wilderness seemed like a bad idea but Nightshade need food and shelter so there was no other choice. Half way through the forest she heard noises. Nightshade spun around to face her attacker but to only find a friendly looking Guardian female standing before. Terrified, Nightshade tried running away but had her path blocked. " Were are you going? " The Guardian asked in a friendly voice. " I.. I... I... " Nightshade stammered. " Come with me " Nightshade didn't know why but she found herself following the Guardian. " What's your name? Mine's Nightshade " The Guardian smiled " That's funny because you've stumbled across Nightshade Clan, little one. Welcome, my name is Icestorm "

Nightshade didn't realize at the time that she was entering the clan she would lead some day for the first time. When she first arrived Nightshade Clan was small, but has Nightshade grew so did her clan. Splash, another imperial that she would have affections for, joined after along with her soon to be friends Darkbloom, Valen, and Glimmer. Once Nightshade was older Icestorm declared her the new leader, mostly because Nightshade Clan needed one and Nightshde seemed perfect for the role.

After becoming leader, Nightshade send out to expand her clan to the fullest. She gained many allies along with opponents. She made Splash her mate and had a son named Dusk who would lead the clan after her. Nightshade's ambition to make her clan the strongest hasn't stopped since the members of Nightshade are still making space for new arrivals. As the clan grows Nightshade would never lose the friendships she made with the very first members of Nightshade Clan, especially Darkbloom her best friend and Icestorm who is like a mother to Nightshade.
