Hailing from the Starwood Strand, Akatriel traveled to the Sunbeam Ruins to learn from like-minded folk. There he met Estariel (formerly known as Sabiha), who would over time become his first and only close friend. She eventually set out looking for a job as a healer, and though Akatriel enjoyed his new life in Light territory, he accompanied her, and together they discovered the newly-forming CHRC.

Akatriel is generally well-meaning, but he comes off as obnoxious and self-centered at times. He is well aware of this, and has taken great pains to try to change, as it causes him a lot of inner turmoil. This turmoil is usually hidden from everyone but Estariel, who is a good listener and a strong and forgiving friend to him.

Fun fact: there was another dragon at the Center- a white Coatl named Calypso- who had the same far maternal ancestor as Akatriel. The two got along well enough, although Calypso's not-particularly-empathetic opportunistically talkative personality sometimes got a bit awkward for Akatriel to handle... but that being said, Akatriel's not much better in that department.
