W I S F
"What it stands for is a mystery." -Aryabhata WISF really is a mystery. Though she animated only recently, she seems to know the CHRC as well as (better than?) its founders, and she seems to have experience in several fields as well. Many members suspect that she knows much more than she tells- though they aren't all sure that they want to know it all. WISF is quiet and rather bad with speech, using words as if they were buttons on some strange apparatus rather than tools deeply ingrained in her mind. However, she is inoffensive and gets along well with everyone at the Center, having particularly close friendships with Llyr, Noor, Aryabhata, and Vesta. She doesn't participate much in Center activities and projects, preferring to watch from a distance and absorb herself in study. WISF is intensely, obsessively interested in certain areas of astronomy and physics, as well as mathematics in general. She views her life and her studies as a beautiful game, which, though it sometimes distances her from certain issues and can be disturbing or even distressing to others on rare occasion, makes her very happy. She is often absorbed in thought, though when asked about her thoughts she often states that she doesn't usually think in words and for that reason they are difficult to express that way. This and the fact that she is simply very private make hers a difficult personality to fathom. WISF spends much of her time in the Library and Observatory portions of the Center. She also often wanders deep into the desert to fly and meditate and watch the stars- she relishes and is very passionate about these wilderness wanderings.

WISF is the Center's second successful Lifebot, after PAIL. However, WISF seems much more alive than she was ever imagined to have been, and Seneca himself has suggested that the creature has an animating spirit and is very much alive. WISF's creation process was going as planned, but as the elegant bot was nearing completion she opened her eyes and seemed to animate by herself. She spoke with an odd androgynous voice and claimed that she already had a name, but after hearing her denomination as WISF decided not to state it. She was fashioned with a second horn, but she's generally known as female, though she doesn't mind much what she's called. WISF truly is mysterious- for one thing, upon animation, she seemed to know the ways of the Center and its members and to have a good repertoire of knowledge. It seemed as though she had already been alive for years, despite having just animated. And since her awakening, she hasn't let any of the Lifebot team members work on her further- but oddly enough, she doesn't seem to need it; she has seemingly become more and more alive. By now she is more like a reinforced natural dragon than a bot. |
