Nakia
The Spurned Child


The daughter of a thief and a fallen star, her scales gleam with celestial light, marked by the shadowy corruption that lurks within the heart of her paternal lineage. Her taint is light, but despite this, she was the unloved child of the group. She was not trained to be a warrior, nor reared like her siblings, but cast out into the frozen wastes to succumb to the cold.

But she did not die.

Perhaps it was luck that brought the child, barely a step from death's door, to the territory of Clan Spectral. Perhaps it was fated to be, and nothing could be done to avoid it. Whatever the cause, she has taken up residence in the caverns beneath the ice. Her shining hide, formerly the hated reminder of the celestial lineage which disowned her, has become the sharp glittering of ice. Her claws are like the rending wind of the fortress of ends, and water near her feet becomes pools of ice. Gray runes twist and coil across her scales, the curse bound and harnessed to turn her into a blizzard given form.

Deep within an icy cave, a silver heart is frozen within a block of runed ice. It's the first token of her vengeance, laying on a plinth made of silver scales. This heart is left to lay in a shrine with full honors- the one who once bore it was only a pawn in a game he never should have needed to play. But blizzards are never given the choice or ability to have regrets.
