Broken things aren't always meant to be fixed, but if they could be, then they should be, shouldn't they? Turi had always thought so, ever since back when he was young and clueless living at the Starfall Isles. His mother would always give him and his siblings an exasperated glare whether one of them had broken a toy again. Soon he figured out he could fix almost all the toys that they had broke. A little snap here, spinning the dial there, attaching a part back to the whole piece and it's good as new. It doesn't really come to anyone's surprise his talent for repairing things would fuel his obsession with tinkering and repairing increasingly complicated mechanical tools and machines and whatnot. It became a calming, repetitive task for him, enough mental stimulation that it would keep him happily occupied, but not too much that his meek psyche couldn't deal with. As time passed so does his skill grew, but so does his yearning for something else. A coming of age. A ritual of passage he knew better than to go against, And so he left his homeclan, bidding his family joyful goodbyes and promises to return to visit, then he was gone. Well, not exactly gone. He was the resident mechanic not the resident not-getting-lost navigator. The strong currents above the arcane territory, while not proving to be a flight problem for a Skydancer, proved to be a direction problem for a lanky, awkward, inexperienced technician with a newly-discovered knack for getting lost. | is gay for him |
