He could be considered one of the most lucky dragons in Sorneith, to be blessed by autumn breezes and wing magic since birth. But there's a reason for that.
That is a story for another time, however.

Quote:
The feeling of the world around him going dark.
The ringing in his ears.
The dread and searing pain bubbling inside of him.
He can not keep it in any longer. It's burning him inside out.
Despite the darkness surrounding him, a murky black movement was there in his peripheral. Cold sweat broke out of his forehead as his gut twisted with nervousness.
Oh no, they're coming. They're coming for his magic. His life source. They can sense it.
They knew his reservoir was leaking - and they're hungry for it. They knew his magic was top-notch and delicious. His magic was overflowing. He doubt he can keep it under control for long. It feels like he's bursting from within.
The moment he let it out, those creatures will come at him.
With a horrible scream, stray magic gushed out of him in a flurry of bright cheerful mint. Those black creatures eyes turned to him, finally realizing where does that smell came from. With no hesitation, they lunged at him.
The sharp fangs and the pulling darkness in their throat is something that will haunt him forever.
Falltrail jerked away, panting. Beside him, Cecyl worriedly glanced at him. Behind her was Kalanchoe. It was then he realized tears were streaming from his eyes. Cecyl put her front foot atop of his. She inhaled slowly, wondering how to go about this. "You were crying in your sleep." She explained tentatively. "Your magic was bleeding from you. Like the usual." He nodded numbly. Kalanchoe simply hovered and twisted above his head. "You dreamt about it again? The...shade?" He nodded again, while the spiral sighed. "I guess tomorrow we have to find a new alternative to lessening the crack in you, or lessening the amount of magic you have in you. You should go back to sleep, okay?"
Cecyl immediately lulled him to sleep as Kalanchoe left. Falltrail was wary, but against better judgement, he closes his eyes.
It was not fair, for him to be born with a spectacular one of a kind of wind magic, just to make him an easy prey due to his inability to prevent it from leaking - a crack in him. And he knew bitterly, that more night terrors are to come no matter how much he - or they - tried.
