______ When Pyre hatched, he was different from the other hatchlings. His nest was close to a volcano, and he and his brothers and sisters used to go and play there, for the area was safe and nice to play on.
They did several competitions on who could come the closest to the lava, and while his brothers and sisters backed off one by one, Pyre could near it until he could touch it. He didn't touch it, of course, because his mother told him not to. When he was an adult, he went there on his own, and did what he wasn't allowed to do; touch the lava. Strange enough, it didn't hurt him. He could easily touch it, feeling the heat but not being hurt or having the urge to pull back. He wanted to take a step closer but tripped and fell into the pool of lava. That was the moment he saw it.

The Flamecaller.

______ The deity spoke to him, and the Coatl would never forget what he heard that day. "Pyre, you're special. You are able to bend fire. I won't say more, for you have to discover your ability yourself. Good luck, and use your skill wisely." With those words, the Flamecaller disappeared again, and Pyre went home. The next few days, all he did was practice. He almost caused a forest fire, but he distinguished the fire just in time. After a week, he could throw small fireballs, and after a month, he could roast meat with a steady fire. Then he realized he could entertain others with it too. He had thought about becoming a warrior, but he didn't like violence. So he went to the hatchlings and performed. They absolutely loved his show.

______ After some time, he knew he couldn't stay in his own clan, and left, performing in every clan he came across. He finally settled down in the clan in which he is now; here, he is accepted. The other dragons like him for who he is, and they don't pretend to like him because he can control fire. He is happy here, and he knows he'll never leave this clan.
