With scales that shimmer and shift like flows of lava and spells that cast just as hot, Malahani is a perfect example of what a magic wielding member of the Fire Flight should be. No where else is this more apparent than on the battlefield, where she makes mounds of soot, ash and embers out of enemy clans and creatures. While the status of the clan's most powerful mage may be held by Kairani, members of the Forge Wardens bypass her for the friendlier spiral when needing assistance with the magical arts. Malahani is always eager to help her clan, even when it meant taking on the role of tutor to hatchlings that show the most promise in becoming strong magic users. She is encouraging and kind, even when the recipient may not be deserving of it, and has a measure of patience her kind is not known for. All of this combines to make her a valuable asset to the Forge Wardens, both on and off the battlefield. While her demeanor attracts the favor of many, the one she considers a true friend is the coatl, Jarzu. In a clan full of hot-headed and stubborn warriors, it was a welcomed relief to meet someone as openly cheerful as the coatl. The jokes and pranks that Malahani finds herself on the receiving end of always brighten her day, and when not tending to their duties they can be found quietly giggling out of the Matriarch's stern eye. Other than Jarzu, there is Lenothrix, Malahani's mate. As the clan's alchemist, he works in a different form of magic and often the two moil side by side in an effort to understand each other's skills. It has paid off, however, as in battle they work together flawlessly. Each covers their partner's weakness; where Malahani lacks healing spells, Lenothrix has several potions at the ready. In life, as with battle, one would be lost without the other. |
