1293.png 		tumblr_inline_nll482iWeL1qg2i5p_400.png Iande began her life in the clan as a well-seasoned warrior, but the Forge Wardens did not stop needing things that could not be found or made themselves, and did not stop needing ways to make treasure, which is where Iande shows her value to the clan. She is extraordinarily shrewd when it comes to making a bargain, and bringing home the greatest profit to her kin. She sells the clan's goods, gathered items, spare food, whatever it is that they might happen to have in excess, all across the region. She even leaves the Ashfall Wastes on longer trips occasionally, bearing a load of the weapons, armour, ores, and jewellery their smiths are especially known for, and returns laden with treasure and the goods of other flights. These journeys often take their toll on her, for Iande has grown accustomed to the affections of her mate Essan and regrets leaving him (and his delicious meals) behind.

At first glance, Iande may look like a languid and elegant lady, in silks and jewellery, polite and well-spoken. She makes a special effort to look so, after all. Not only does she believe that a touch of elegance makes her and her goods seem more distinguished and valuable, but she'll happily take advantage of those who believe that she must be foolish and only interested in her appearance. She trades fairly with those who treat her fairly in kind, but those who set out to cheat her learn, only once she's far away and they've signed a contract stating no refunds, that she is much more clever than them. Those who think to rob a single merchant traveling alone often learn an even harsher lesson. She is an honoured warrior, and she greets would-be robbers with the same fury any other member of the clan would.
