While it's true that she is well educated and has seen many of the cultures of Sornieth, both draconic and beast, the secret of her insight is much more mythical. Feru is an oracle, able to See signs and knowledge in special meditation sessions. She burns a secret selection plants and reads the smoke and flame as though they are the pages of a book that only she can see. Members of the clan come to her with questions they can bear no longer, and leave her company with lighter hearts and answers to set them on the right path. She cannot help with matters of battle as the Matriarch has forbidden such Sights, claiming that true warriors make their own victories and do not fear defeat.

Feru knows she is powerful, but she doesn't use her abilities for personal gain. The Sight is a gift from the Flamecaller, and any misuse would see it stripped away before the next day's sunrise. As with any member of the clan, she is an skilled warrior, using her magic to heal friends and scorch foes. She is generally quiet, disliking long conversations, meaningless pleasantries or awkward small-talk unless it is directly related to her obligations as the clan oracle. Others respect her aversion to company and leave her to her seclusion, no matter how curious they are of the mystical coatl that suddenly appeared in their ranks after a great battle was won.
