These strange requests often fall to Eltrys, who carries her wishes out with no hesitation or difficulty. His natural abilities as a mirror allow him to stalk his unlucky targets in complete darkness as their own body heat betrays their location. His hide and even his armor blend into the shadows to conceal his presence before he strikes. He never asks why the Matriarch wants these targets eliminated. It could be that they possess a threat to her leadership, or have violated a pact made between their two clans. It could even be that they cast her an offending glance ... it matters little. The thrill of the hunt and the taste of their blood is all shady mirror needs.

Eltrys has a tendency to be eclipsed by his mate, Neriya, who is not only a superior fighter, but a very honored warrior. She is well known for her fighting prowess, the berserk bloodlust in which she destroys everything in her path. Next to her, Eltrys seems especially meek. She rules their relationship with the same fury that she possesses on the battlefield. Though he is devoted to her, Eltrys will reluctantly admit that she is impossible to sway from a path once she's chosen it, and if he tries to disagree she will simply roll right over his protests. She intimidates even him, and he does his best to avoid arguments, since any fight has a tendency to get her passionate temper up. He and Arokh, the Matriarch's mate, have become close friends commiserating over their dominant mates.
