Biography
Damballa wished to learn Plague magic, simply stating that the magic of the Icefield did not meet his overarching needs. Nicknamed "Red Devil" by his home clan.
Rank: Ice Shaman, acolyte of Ichorclaw
Mate: Samhuinn
11/28/16 Damballa's mate was an adept practitioner of Plague magic as well as an Infectionist-- able to use her control over disease to infect prey items and intruding dragons. Despite this, Damballa wished to learn only from the best. It was rumored that The Cell had contracted the services of a Necromancer, a dragon blessed by the Plaguebringer herself, and so instead of observing his peers, Damballa willfully awaited the appearance of the clan's new priest.
12/08/16 Despite coming to The Cell to become an infectionist, it seemed every dragon wished only to see his Ice magic. Even the Survey Team bombarded him with requests as of late. Apparently they were tasked with procuring a familiar for the new Combat Instructor. They claimed that because said instructor was born in the Cloudscrape Crags that perhaps an Ice familiar would be appropriate. Damballa eventually acquiesced, crafting a familiar out of an icy wind that he whistled from his breath. It was similar in composition to his own familiar, yet it resembled a fox rather than a bird. He called upon an ice spirit to inhabit his new creation and it soon blinked to life.
"I have to admit, I've only seen things reanimated by fungus and it’s a far less whimsical process," Maro of the Survey Team commented as the group stood in awe.
"Well? Are you forgetting something?" Damballa retorted. "I don't work for free, now."
Satisfied with the new familiar, the Survey Team's infectionist Mirror traded Damballa a few strains of the Plague Rot for his future experimentation.
