H I S T O R Y

When Zero came of age, his clan chose him to serve under the Icewarden, denying him the necessity of The Search. After a decade in the Icewarden's service, the flight leader eventually noticed his lieutenant's discord, and sent him out into the Icefield to set up a clan of his own.

Zero spent close to a year wandering in the Icefield before he finally stumbled across a Ridgeback female struggling to fight a pack of winter wolves. Her fierce roars drowned out the scent of her fear, and Zero rushed in to her aid, peeling the beasts off of her until together, the two dragons defeated the entire pack. He then saw the pair of Skydancers cowering behind a rock, not too far away--the Ridgeback ran to them, despite her many wounds, and they huddled next to her, shivering from the cold and fear. Zero knew then that he had found his Charge.

The Ridgeback introduced herself as Vorasaegha, a native to the Cloudscape Crags; she adopted the two young Skydancers--Halycon and Crystalis--when she found them abandoned amidst the harsh peaks. Vorasaegha and Zero grew closer, and the two worked together to establish a new clan: the Hiemal Visage.

P E R S O N A L I T Y

As a young dragon, Zero was obedient and disciplined. Through his service to the Icewarden, he honed his battle skills to a fine point, making him an invaluable soldier, but his lack of a Charge would have driven him to irreversible tribulation. His dedication to his mate, adopted children, and ever-growing clan is absolute; he would lay down his life for any of them in a heartbeat.
