B I O G R A P H Y

______ Fujin was born on the outskirts of the Wandering Contagion in the Scarred Wastelands. He and his two sisters hatched on a rainy, cold night amidst a pile of bones covered in slime and sludge. Fujin was the last of his siblings to claw his way out of the thick green membranes that built up the outer layer of his egg. Soaking wet and exhausted from the struggle he glanced upon a landscape made up of twisting tendrils and sickly looking membranes. Dirt soiled his bright white scales and wings, masking the runes that covered his entire body. He stared horrified at this revolting place he was supposed to call home. Everything here was sick, twisted and decaying. Life was a constant struggle from the very beginning against the ever present rot, diseases and corrupted creatures that populated the Scarred Wastelands. While the rest of his clan enjoyed fighting the elements and constant threat of diseases, Fujin hated it. A fact that he could not hide from his clan for very long. Furthermore, he had the power to heal, which caused his fellow clan members who revered viruses and diseases to eye him with suspicion. His parents had migrated to the Scarred Wastelands but whatever they had found here none of their offspring could understand. When his yearning for life untouched by plague and disease became beyond all bearing, Fujin left the Scarred Wastelands to find his destiny elsewhere and never to return.

______ He crossed the Tangled Wood that seemed to be engulfed in constant gloom and darkness and finally reached the Viridian Labyrinth. The lush green landscape with its forests, glades and enormous tree at the heart of it captivated him. He dove into the crystal-clear waters of the rivers, ridding himself of the dirt and rot that soiled his scales. He roamed the Viridian Labyrinth for quite some time, fascinated by the brilliantly coloured flowers, dense green forests and its ancient trees. Everything was bursting with life here and so different from the place where he had been born. Well aware of the feud between plague and nature dragons he stayed away from other dragons afraid he might be cast out from the only place he had felt at home. But one day he almost stumbled upon a vicious looking female mirror dragon wearing bird skulls as trappings. The female was crouching low as she was hunting for the white deer on the glade, the same deer he had been stalking since the beginning of dawn. She was startled by his sudden appearance causing the deer to bolt. He expected her to take one look at his gleaming red eyes and either turn away in disgust or charge at him. Though he was prepared for the latter as he had screwed her hunt, she did neither. Instead she eyed him intensely until he became uneasy with the expanding silence. So Fujin introduced himself and to his surprise she was curious about his journey and sympathetic to his fate. The mirror dragon, whose name was Fahlyn, turned out to be the leader of a small clan she had founded with her mate, Antafes. Their lair was a refuge and shelter for all dragons regardless of breed or birth element. As long as they adhered to the rules of nature, everyone was welcome. Fujin decided to stay and become part of the collective. His skills as mage and healer are regarded highly. Fujin is fiercely loyal to his brethren in arms, Autumn and Calendir, with whom he fights in the coliseum venues.
