When the scent of burning linen reaches you, it is best to make yourself scarce. Only one thing can come of such a smell, one terrible thing that has long since left the grave.

It calls itself Nephthys, and perhaps that is what it once was. Imagine a young Wildclaw with boundless energy and vibrant promise, born into her parents' smoky homelands and raised to love the warmth. Imagine her happy, roughhousing with siblings and chasing Basalt Vent Hops across the craggy volcanic earth. She must have been beloved, filled with a warmth that came from passion and care as well as the Flamecaller's scorching domain.

But now, there are only loose ends of linens that always smolder and never burn. There is a moaning on the wind, a groan to rattle you to the core of your being and beyond, followed by a sense of something blasphemous, though in what way, you cannot be sure.

That is Nephthys and its petrifying call. Heed its warnings, and do not stay long enough for it to arrive. A touch is all it takes before you begin to burn, and once the linens have you, that will be the end. No one one escapes from the mummy of the Ashfall Wastes. No one will.
