_LOADING PROFILE
a scientist at heart who loves her subjects like a parasite. studies the planes of reality, the cracks that bind them, and the energy that flows between dimensions. centuries of research have led her to believe that the gods are vessels for this energy on the physical plane. pursuit of this truth led her to the beacon, and further still to the lightweaver. her research is private, but one thing is clear: she hates the goddess, and all of her kind.
none of her colleages in the greenhouse know how contact with the omegon was established. and by extension, why their lab director is married to an interdimensional cult's esteemed matriarch with three grown children.
the greenhouse was founded by acrimony as a clan where genuine pursuit of science could be accomplished free from, as kani would say it, the tyranny of the gods. none of her colleagues really know how they don't get caught. they understand not to ask. acrimony's 'rule' is distant and more or less unenforced, unlike that of her beloved. most of her time is spent in silent study of indecipherable equations, and communicating with kani - however that's done.
she's not a monster; she does truly love kani, fascinated endlessly by her very existence. and she loves their.,. spawn, though she did not properly meet them in their adulthood until recently, having spent their childhoods in the pocket dimension of their other mother. she's having... trouble... bonding with them.
You know I hate when you do this to me. Stop. Okay? There's no need for that. I love my Kani. She is... a marvel. Endlessly. I have never quite met a creature like her before, and I never will again. I bring her contact and supplies from the outside world, and she gifts me with research I could never dream of producing outside of her enclave. A perfect exchange. I cannot say it pains me to be so far from her. My research would be far less complete.
The Omegon is a structure much like my dearest. Unique and unseen in ages past. I will always remember that sky. Stars where they shouldn't be, constellations that shifted with each turn of the night. How badly I wanted to stay there to study the Shade's influence on her little pocket of high strangeness. The few times I've crossed over, I was so distracted with its immaculate construction that I'd almost forgotten we had eggs to raise. Uhh, don't... don't tell that to the girls.
