"Oh - uh... it wasn't supposed to do that."

One of the more eccentric of Cloudy Coast's residents, Hearthbrew seems to know exactly what antics to get up to that both exasperate his clanmates to no end and brings smiles to their faces. His boundless zeal and playful mischief never fail to liven up the atmosphere... even if he sometimes uses the atmosphere to do so. There have been many instances in which he's caused minor explosions, crackles of electricity, and damage to the materials surrounding his delightful experiments. Fortunately, he always seems to avoid harming any of his companions beyond singed fur - most are sure it's from sheer dumb luck alone!

Though often buried snout-deep in his work for many hours at a time, Hearthbrew has rarely been known to tire. He delights in sharing his discoveries with anyone willing to lend an ear and a minute or forty. He specializes in brewing oddities, possibly-usefuls, and maybe-alives. Most of his creations are questionable, but those are just his side projects. Despite spending lots of time experimenting for the sake of experimenting, the spiral is actually very in-tune with the fine workings of alchemy and chemistry. There's a reason he's the head alchemist in the clan!

Being so enthusiastic about his work can have it's drawbacks. His mate Cider often has to bring him meals and coax him to take better care of himself. He's not terribly stubborn, and the tundra's home-cooked delights are more than enough to convince him to take a break. He adores Cider, and shows it in his own eccentric way of causing trouble and mischief. He happily takes the chance of his capers ending in either an amused pat or kiss, or a whack of a wooden spoon. In the end, the two are a wonderful match.

Likes: Eating his experiments (always ends with some sort of weird effect and a tummyache - please don't eat that, Hearthbrew - no hey, don't -), electricity, the smell of sulfur, Cider's cooking, crunchy beetles, bright colors, curling up in a handmade quilt at the end of a long day of work
