personality Kingfisher is wildly independent and fiercely determined despite being born blind. He has learned how to do everything on his own. He is very protective over his siblings and would willingly put his life on the line for them. He is very honest about himself and very open, but he realizes that being that way makes him a bit vulnerable. In order to compensate for his open nature, Kingfisher is also a bit callous towards those who he isn't related to. He can seem standoffish and unapproachable, but he's really just trying to protect himself, his caravan, and, most importantly, his family. backstory Kingfisher was hatched with no eyes. He struggled growing up in the Outclan. He could never see the storms rolling in or the edge of the cave or the shore of the beach. At first it was difficult for him. He struggled trying to live, but his ‘sister’ Lynx helped him. She taught him how to fight despite his lack of sight. He slowly learned how to sense the world around him using his antenna. He was soon able to sense the subtle movements in air and the sudden changes of air pressure and every step that everyone took. His empty eye sockets no longer controlled his life. job Kingfisher is a guard of the caravan and a sword salesman. As a guard, he spend many nights watching over his siblings. He allows them to sleep, opting to lose a few hours in return for the security of the caravan and his family. He also stays on high alert during the day, watching for any dragons or beasts who might attempt to attack the caravan. In order to be the best sword salesman around, Kingfisher forges his own swords. Whenever the caravan stops in a clan, he uses the forge to make his swords. His swords are very fine and sturdy. |
