Biography

TLDR;
This is a lore dragon directory. The book titles each take you to the respective dragon. Only completed lore dragons will be listed here, and more are added as they're written. Go nuts.

The Keeper

Wandering through the twisting chain of caves that makes up The Yamichi Clan, you sigh and look around worryingly. You can't help but wonder how the dragons here can even see in this darkness, let alone navigate through it. It just seems, unnatural, even for the Tangled Wood... Continuing down the path and running your claw against the wall, you notice a dim but warm light coming from the left. Following it, you find yourself in what seems to be a library. You quickly take notice of the state of the books; though well taken care of, many of them look quite old, some even ancient. Occasionally, you pass by a book bound in what looks like a newly made pitch black leather, despite the pages being yellowed and torn. Items that look as if they should belong in museums rather than in a library sit out neatly on shelves scattered throughout the room, and one particularly odd looking tablet with a deep black splotch on the corner seems to catch your eye far more than the rest. You walk towards it, and reach out to grab it.

"I wouldn't touch that if I were you."

You whirl around to see where the voice came from, only to find yourself staring at a young wildclaw who almost blends in with the books she stands in front of. She walks past you, and picks up the tablet to move it, setting it underneath the desk in a drawer in the front of the room.

"Sorry, forgot to put that away," she says, "I forgot we were having guests. Anyway, my name is Librarian, creative I know, and this place here is my library. It has a few books you may recognize here and there, but I am a collector of more ancient style books. I prefer the stuff that keeps records and history; archives, basically. Feel free to read anything here that's not falling apart at the seams, but just please make sure to put it back in the right spot when you've finished. You can find books on the first, second, and third ages in the back. Breed books and beastclan documents are scattered along the middle sections. There's plenty on The Shade over on the left, and if you'd like to know clan stories, why not scan through the right? If you'd like anything specific, I'm always open to questions."

The Right

After taking a moment to think, you decide to try looking through some of the books on the right. These ones look relatively new, and you're not quite so afraid of them simply disintegrating in your claws like some of the others might. The area is sectioned off into two categories, clearly marked "Shade", and "Shadeless". Noting your confusion, Librarian walks to your side and begins to explain.

"Ah, our lore dragons. A good choice in reading, might I say! You see, our clan is heavily influenced by The Shade's power, and many of our dragons have been affected by it as well. You can find the stories of these dragons who The Shade has influenced on the shelf marked "Shade", however, not every dragon has been afflicted, and so those under the shelf marked "Shadeless", will likely have little to no mention of The Shade in their stories whatsoever. Hope I could be of help!"

The odd wildclaw pulls one of the books off of the shelf, and walks to the back of the library, plunking herself down into a beanbag chair to read.

Shade

Once you see that Librarian has left your side, you look back at the two sections, and choose to take a look at the Shade section first. Under this section are multiple books, seemingly organized by how similar the actual story is. The first shelf has a small tag hanging off of it, and scribbled in ink on it are the words "Clan Elders";

Sunburst - The First Tablet Falls
Akuma - Afraid of the Dark
Yamihana - The Black and White Death
Ghentoul - Hidden Seeker
Frostbite - Muted

Moving on from them, you come across four books all bound in that odd looking black leather you saw earlier. They all seem to pulsate with an otherworldly, and almost divine feeling;

Kurokami - The Creation of Destruction
Kasshokami - The Destruction of Creation
Makai - Where All Ends Meet
Erabashi - Re-Birth

Turning the corner, you come across five more books, all labeled with horse insignias on the cover and spine. Each one seems to connect with the other, and you get the feeling that you should probably read them in order.

Menthima - Unwanted Truths
Antares - The Tracker
Shiru - The Hunter
Phoenix - The Trapper
Opal - The Healer

With that series out of the way, you move to the next. These ones look poorly kept, and the leather seems to be rotting away. You're not even sure if you should be touching these books on the account that you're worried they may fall apart in your hands;

Soliera - Off with Their Heads
Azalea - If Only
Kaine - Gimme a Break

Once you've gone through all of those, you see a few more books along the shelf. Each one has its own unique appearance, and you can make an educated guess that none of them have any particular relation to any of the others. It seems likely that they're each simply stand-alone stories;

Andromeda - To Chain a Will
Tsubishi - The Survivor
Galathea - Lost in Thought

Evergreen - Tinker Toys
Spectre - Guardian Spirits
Amaryllis - A Rose in the Shadows

Shadeless

After placing the latest book back on the shelf you got it from, you realize that you finished the section. Looking at the old, dusty clock just above you, you can see that there is still plenty of time before you need to leave. At least, you hope there is. You're not quite sure if the clock is correct, or if it's even working considering its age. Shrugging, you push the thought from your head and take a look at the next shelf. This one is smaller, but seems to be organized in a similar fashion to the last shelf of the previous section. You can't seem to find any stories connected between each other, but each book still looks quite nice;

Maslanka - Stolen Lives
Goldengale - A Normal Life
Prism - Spirits of the Mists
Mavis - Bound by Blood
Andesine - More Than Money
Radium - Bioweapon
Polari - The Dark Arts
Yokai - The Floofmaster

Looking at the clock again, you can see that it's getting late, and you should probably be getting home soon. Librarian closes the book she was reading and moves to place it back on the shelf, next to some of the other books in the "Shade" section. Watching her, you notice the title of the book, "Librarian - Forever in Darkness". Curious, you look back up at the wildclaw, only to notice something you are surprised you hadn't before; her eyes are clouded over - they look almost pupiless, as if she never had any to begin with. Before you can ask any questions, she places a claw on your shoulder and leads you to the exit.

"I hope you had a nice stay! Please, come again, I'm always adding more to my collection."
