B I O G R A P H Y

______ Born and raised a shadow dragon, but never truly satisfied, Amaryllis had always tried to search for the meaning to her life since the time she learned to speak. Amaryllis was chosen from the moment she was born to become a part of the Yamichi Clan. Her brothers and sisters were all sent off to other clans at an early age, but she was kept because she showed signs of being imbued with The Shade that the clan prides so much. Amaryllis didn't mind. She didn't care much for siblings anyway, and the others in the clan praised her for being such a bright and beautiful young hatchling with so much potential. Amaryllis enjoyed her schooling and attention, but despite everything that was offered, she could never really find something she truly loved. She was a brilliant mage, but hated fighting. A wonderful thinker, but couldn't stand the thought of being a scientist or mathmatician for the rest of her life. She had an amazing memory, but found history boring. Over time, Amaryllis found herself going outside more and more to be alone with nature. She seemed to feel more at ease outside, but still thought that something was missing.

______ Then, one day, Amaryllis was given the chance to take a trip to the Verdant Labyrinth. Upon arrival, she was immediately struck by how colorful and lively everything was, and all at once, it hit her. The color, the variety, the beauty - Amaryllis decided she wanted to bring that back with her, so that she could give everyone she met that same feeling of true happiness that she felt in that moment. Upon returning home, Amaryllis planted the seeds of hundreds of plants and flowers all around her room and lair. She made a gigantic garden outside and covered it in everything from roses to rafflesias. No flower was left out. Despite living in the territory that never has any light, Amaryllis became a master gardener, and was somehow able to keep every single flower alive. Some say that it's the power of The Shade that's been turned around and used for good, others speculate that she uses the light of the native mushrooms to keep everything healthy, but there is one thing that everyone can agree on; her flowers are the biggest and most beautiful in all of Sorneith, and nobody can say otherwise.
