Zephyra used to live a simple life in the Windspwept Plateau, just making kites. All day, every day, making and playing with kites, providing hatchlings and adults alike with joyous bundles of cloth, and some times a unique animal skin. She's nicknamed 'The Thief' for stealing something, but not just any something like a piece of fruit or worthless wood. She stole something worse, so much worse.

The whole tragedy was set into motion when a travelling healer found that she was the host of a brain worm. Brain worms rarely ever targeted dragons, and they often died within the first few days in a dragon's head.
