Never more at home then at the bottom of a river basin, Kiyoko haunts the wetlands sitting between the Plague and Arcane regions as their semi-permanent inhabitant. She had compiled a running catalog of the biodiversity existing between these two borders of magic, where sickness and the supernatural attempt to outdo one another in wild displays of egological accommodation. Strangely, she finds herself immune to the brunt of these efforts - having found out by being bled dry by far more leeches and mosquitos than the average derg would ever hope to be - only furthering her conviction that the wetlands are where she is meant to be. Her charge is to the preservation of the wetlands, an effort that she is willing to donate her life to. |

Her upbringing within her birth clan was rather unremarkable, other than the fact that its location within the Crystalspine Reaches put her close to the wetlands to begin with. A bit of a problem child, Kiyoko had a habit of "running away" from home when worry began to overwhelm her mind - ventures her parents allowed in order for her to blow off steam, unaware that the place she felt safest was the bastion of sickness that is the beginning of the Plaguebringer's lands. She is always covered in a thin layer of slime, a natural consequence of the moss she encumbers herself under during her daily research. She believes that adopting familiars from the Wetlands is highly unethical. With that being said, multiple marshdwellers tend to stick around her. She'll never admit to it, but she's named all of them. |
