Name: Phantasos.
Occupation: Clan leader.
Species: Dragon, made shapeshifter by Thames.
Family: Thames ( adoptive son ) and Stirge ( younger brother ).
Mate: None.
Build: Athletic.
Likes: Forests, a strong breeze, leafs blowing in the wind, the smell of dirt, shallow waters and shallow lakes, cornflowers, children, toys.
Dislikes: Religion, farewells.
Personality: Headstrong, charismatic, stubborn, funny, gentle heart.

Initially, there was nothing "special" about Phantasos. Born as "fodder", his fate looked to be sealed. He would serve the Gods. However - Phantasos refused to let this become his fate. He used his charisma and charm to gain himself status within the Wild Garden. The other dragons were drawn to his rebellious attitude and brave heart. Eventually, Phantasos became the clan leader. It wasn't something he had ever dreamed of becoming, and at first, he was even reluctant to take on the task. How could someone like him - someone who wasn't special ever be a clan leader? With the new role, Phantasos learned about responsibility, and what it was like to make the tough decisions required by a leader. One could say he grew into the role. He certainly began to feel more and more at home in it.

What Phantasos finds hard as a clan leader is how none of the hatchlings born into the clan are allowed to stay. He has a very soft spot for children, and it always worry him that they won't find happy homes when they leave the clan. He knows very well that there isn't room in the Wild Garden for everyone, but he really wishes there was. He always gets attached to the young dragons before they leave, and though he jokes and puts up a tough exterior, he always finds it incredibly sad when they leave.

Before he became the clan leader, Phantasos fathered many children. His low status made it so that he didn't have a choice but to breed "fodder children". He is quite traumatized by this, since he knew he is responsible for bringing so many young dragons into the world, only for them to be forced to live their life the way the Gods intended them to, serving them for all eternity. After he became the clan leader, and had the power to decide for himself what he wanted to do, he swore that he would never again father any children. This is also why he won't find himself a mate. He knows that his colors and his genes make it almost impossible for him to father offspring that will be worthy of a place in a clan. He thinks that every dragon deserves to have children if they want to, so he doesn't want a mate, because he can't bring himself to force his philosophy upon someone else.

Because of his past, Phantasos is very attached to his family. He has an adoptive son - Thames. He is very proud of Thames, and he always takes the time to bond with Thames' children before they leave the clan. He feels certain that the children will find good homes, because of their good genes. Thanks to Thames' strong magic, Phantasos managed to get a Human Form, making him into a dragon-turned-shapeshifter.

Phantasos' second family member is his biological younger brother Stirge, who he brought into the clan as the final surviving member of his bloodline. It was important to Phantasos to use his powers as the clan leader to make sure his younger brother didn't suffer the same fate as his other siblings. Even though they had spent all their life apart, Stirge and Phantasos immediately grew close.

Everyone in the clan are aware of Phatasos' feelings about young dragons being exalted before getting a chance to live their life the way they would've chosen. Many try to explain to Phatasos that serving the Gods is a privilege, and that it's a good life. But this doesn't help. It's not that Phantasos thinks it's such a horrible thing - it's just that he can't stand the thought of someone not even having a choice. He knows that his philosophy would lead to overpopulation, and that it wouldn't be sustainable. But - he just can't bring himself to be realistic. He wants everyone to have a life!

Phantasos is a small ridgeback. His human form is small as well. He's not physically strong, but he is very athletic. He's fast and this makes him a good hunter. His skin is as hard as metal, which gives him excellent defense. Phantasos is not a fighter. He's the type to talk his way out of a disagreement. With his witty remarks and humor, he's often able to change the mood. There is an optimism and friendliness to him that makes others like him. It's this vibe, as well as his determination to never give up that has gotten him to the point where he is now.

When it comes to his ambitions, they evolve around how he wants the clan to be. He wants a place where all dragons who are born go to good homes when they leave. He wants the Wild Garden to be known to be a safe haven. Will he get his wish?

Trivia:
X - Phantasos was born into the Light Flight, and during his life, he has belonged to the Water Flight, before finally ending up in the Nature Flight. The last one is by far his favorite.
X - Being a small ridgeback, he finds it much easier than other ridgebacks to move within a forest, and so he really enjoys this. He'll always sleep beneath a large oak tree.
X - His favorite snacks are nuts, but mostly he eats fish. Fresh-water fish are his favorite.
X - Phantasos collects all types of plushies and toys, which he then gives to the kids in the clan so that they'll have something to play with.
X - Because he spends so much time around children, Phantasos covers the deadly spikes on his tail with a fluffy, green fabric. Baby dragons really like to play with it.
