Rosegate was born into a well-respected clan and studied under many well-respected Arcane scholars. Others around him pushed him to study the Shade as he showed much promise in the subject but he disliked the idea of working with such dark energies. He still wanted to help the others who would put themselves in danger so he looked for a new way to predict the Shade's return or somehow stop it from ever happening. He began looking outside the library walls and into other flights and how their magic might help. He soon found that some dragons in the Sea of a Thousand Currents claimed that they had the prophetic ability. Intrigued, he put out the word that he was looking for a group where he could work and study these abilities. He soon found a Clan willing to let him stay as long as he helped organize their new library. He quickly accepted when he found out that the Quiet Council was known for its blind prophet. Rosegate became very close with a Skydancer named Rune and soon they were raising a family of their own. The clan didn't find the idea of having a nest together a sign of true devotion and until you received permission from the clan to perform a ritual to be mated for life. Unfortunately, the two were young and the idea became distasteful for Rune. She refused his offers of a lifetime together and after their last hatch, they decided to part ways. He fell into a depression and almost left the clan forgetting about his original mission. Before he could one of the clan's guards began taking an interest in his work and showed up in the library often. He found her presence a wonderful distraction and loved explaining the magic as the larger Guardian would listen and flip through the books and journals. He found Amenth to be the most beautiful dragon he had ever known even more so than Rune. He loved to watch her move under the soft light only making her white scales look like they glowed. He was so nervous that she would refuse him for a dragon much larger and stronger than himself. It wasn't until she made the first move did he breathe a sigh of relief in her presence.

"Don't get me wrong Tornar, It is not that I don't believe that these dreams are possible, I just don't know much about the subject." The two walked silently until the smaller Tundra turned to him. "With so much knowledge you Arcane seem to like to claim to have, you would think magic of this sort would not be uncommon." Her voice is quiet but she is obviously angered. "I can do more research but prophecy has always been Water's domain. If the Tidelord wills you to see with more than your eyes then I can't change that." "It may be his will but it is not mine. If you are not willing to help me I can always look elsewhere." She was hurting and Rosegate could do nothing to help her. She shuffled away and Rosegate had to watch her stumble away. He had his heart broken before but she just looked so pathetic that he broke for her.
