The wanderer, the traveler. Rumors of who he is, and more importantly where he hails from, follow him around. Dead men tell no tales, if we disregard their writings.

The theories differ; he came on a pilgrimage, a journey to the gaping hole that is the Wyrmwound. Or perhaps he came from a deal, for once he was awfully wounded, and the Plaguebringer offered to seal his injuries, to trade his heritage with mild health. All that is known for sure is that, one day, Macbeth came to the land of the Scarred Wasteland with nothing but the clothes on his back and his right-hand woman, the Hierophant, and Amdusias kept the couple safe. There are days Macbeth vanishes from his den, and the land, but everyone has learned not to question it. He does always comes back, but it is rather telling that the Hierophant is never sad when he disappears.

The Hierophant seems to be the one who knows anything about Macbeth. Whereas Amdusias amuses no one, not even the children. If they catch her in a the middle of her potionwork and magic, Styx plays with the idea in front of the questioning youth that Macbeth is a poorly veiled zombie, and those who cannot see clearly of the obvious are unworthy of knowing this anyway – but oh, isn’t she so nice to be telling these hatchlings? On the other hand, Claudia the witch warns all children to come of her not to question Macbeth to their leader of all people, they'd have better luck with the Hierophant.

She doesn't tell. The Hierophant has a lovely smile when she tells the children to leave.

Macbeth’s secrets are well kept. He keeps to the den, where he and the the Hierophant stays. The Hierophant’s secret of name fits snug with his secret of home. Wherever they came from, they came from it together, and neither have any plans to part from the other.
