Personality

Papillon is a dragon that has been through... well, been through quite a bit. Even though, he often slips out of mind and disappears for a long while before you notice he's gone. Perhaps it's because of how quiet he is, or how he acts. He is constantly moving, never still, his movements akin to those of a snake, a large python, or perhaps water, a slow-flowing brook. He even moves in his sleep, ever restless like a shark.

His personality is difficult to describe. Cold? Heartless? No, for I've seen him with a sad little smile on his face as he watches hatchlings play. But neither is he compassionate; he can just as easily take a life as preserving one. But, then, what is he like? He keeps his emotions bottled up deep inside, barely ever to graze the surface. He seems caring enough, and a good listener, but he can just as easily lash out in cold rage.

Of course, he wasn't always this way. He once was just any regular spiral hatchling, laughing and racing around 'till he fell down, chatty and over-enthusiastic. Eager to please. He had learnt early on to avoid talking about his odd eyes, and to ignore the skeptical, the scientists and the ill-wishing when it came to that brittle topic. Even now, it's often the talk about his heterochromia that sends him into those fits of rage.

His eyes have always been different, Nature and Light, yet he allies himself with nature dragons, and thinks of himself as one. Although he has been known to use light moves in the coliseum, he tends to stick with what he knows best.

His eyes are they way they are because his egg was laid in the ocean between the Viridian Labyrinth and the Sunbeam Ruins. His egg looked normal enough, but of his nest-mates he was the only one with two elements.

Biography

When he was only a few days old, Papillon was stolen from his nest by an imperial by the name of Feuli. He was then spirited away to the Tangled Woods, far from his original home.

There he grew up, laughing and socializing with the other hatchlings there, never asking questions. He trained alongside them, trained to fight and claw and kill.
