_______________________________ ✪ Dragon Breed : Hungry dragons are weaker. Fainting in coli affects hunger levels. If you have trouble stocking a food-type avoid breeds that depend on it in your team! ✪ Battle Stones : Dragons come equipped with two battle stones, which two depends on breed. Any stone can be replaced and starter stones aren't expensive so if you want an all-tundra team, don't let this stop you! |
_______________________________ ✪ Love it or leave it: Pick dragons you like! Building a team requires lots of time and treasure, be sure you don't invest all of that into a dragon you're only half-hearted about. ✪ Dragon Flight : Each flight has different vulnerabilities. It's best to have a mix of flights on a team to balance strengths and weaknesses. Arcane and Water are good in higher venues, which is where this will be most noticeable. |

_________________________________ __ There are lots of ways to stat a team, experiment! A Tincture of Dissolution costs 30kt in the marketplace and will reset a dragon's skills. Guides for leveling and statting are available further on, but if you want a quick-start here's a good strategy: __ ✦ Begin with your three physical fighters. This is your main team! Since they don't have to gather breath they're fast, which means you can win more fights in less time. __ ✦ Stat two of these according to the first build in Culex's Guide, recommended for loot farming. They're great for grinding but can also level one dragon at a time in Kelp Beds. __ ✦ Stat your third fighter according to Culex's Mire-build. This dragon can grind, and also level two dragons in the Mire or Ghostlight Ruins. Even if you don't plan to train dragons this build is recommended as it keeps your options open. If you participate in Dominance this will be your Trainer! |
______________________________ __ If finances get tight concentrate on stoning one dragon at a time. Buying pricier stones for one dragon is often a better investment than a team fully equipped with lesser stones. You will hear this very often on this site: __Eliminates are expensive, but they pay for themselves! __ You can also swap your Mirer for your Mage. Magic-based dragons are cheaper to stone and become useful very quickly. They're not recommended for grinding as gathering breath slows you down, but in higher levels a mage makes a big difference! Once you level your grinding duo they can train your Mirer in Kelp Beds. __ Arcane has Level 25 Rentals, and a Battle Stone Bank! Remember : some of the best battle stones drop most often in the lower levels. Try to split your time between training your team and grinding. You can sell your loot and buy battle stones with the profit! |

Dominance is a weekly challenge that awards the top three flights with perks that include: ____✪ More gathering turns per day ____✪ Additional treasure bonus per day ____✪ Discounts in the Treasure Marketplace ____✪ Discounts on lair expansions ___________________________ The only way to win dominance is to exalt dragons. These dragons leave their lair permanently to assist their clan's deity, for Arcane that's the Arcanist (aka Spacedad). They're often referred to as 'fodder'. |

Any dragon in your lair can be exalted, even hatchlings. Don't panic! A confirmation window appears before a dragon leaves the clan. You'll receive treasure based on the dragon's level, with a chance of a gem bonus. _________________________ Fodder dragon(s) must be named adults to level in the coliseum. The fastest way is for a 'trainer' ( fully-stoned and statted dragon(s) ) to take fodder into the higher venues. You don't have to exalt dragons to support Arcane! There are lots of ways to help! |

The Stigma of Exalting
__________________________________ FR encourages creative gameplay and so hasn't offered a precise explanation for exalting. The only official lore is that an exalted dragon goes to serve its deity in some way. This allows freedom in interpretation. The idea that it's equivalent to death since the dragon's no longer active and has 'joined its deity' is fair, but not necessarily true. Many players believe exalted dragons join the fight against The Shade, help the Arcanist with experiments, or have lore unique to their clan. |
