THE GANG IS ALL HERE! This little lady (who cost me about 2163 gems) is my last OC. Her name is Hayley Marie Barker and she’s Skydust’s human friend :3 Her familiar is a reference to Reginald, her pet hamster in-universe.

ALSO! She lives in Pittsburgh because there’s a lot of scrapyards around and it was a big steelworking place back in the day. According to Wikipedia, aside from steel, Pittsburgh has led in manufacturing of aluminum, glass, shipbuilding, petroleum, foods, sports, transportation, computing, autos, and electronics.

Hayley originally had a sister named Rebecca and they were gonna be Maria's descendants but I decided against it since I wanted Maria to stand more alone.

RELATIONSHIPS:
Her dynamic with Skydust is very much “one girl and her dog best friend”. They rely on each other for companionship and base things on mutual respect. Hayley is the one who named Sky. Hayley is the responsible one in the relationship, often reprimanding Sky for doing something completely embarrassing, destructive or otherwise “not right”. But, they can be immature idiots together and get on more than they argue. The two are near inseparable when Sky is in her husky holoform. Sometimes, to Hayley’s dismay, Sky visits her at home in her robot form. Sky worries Hayley immensely. She panics when watching her large friend accidentally destroy something so she acts fast to try and cover it up. This makes her reckless since she does not always consider the consequences and often gets herself injured. Hayley and Sky understand each other though the verbal communication is generally one-sided.

Hayley’s home life consists of her being a good kid. She does her chores, she listens to her Mother...sometimes...and she does all of her schoolwork when she’s supposed to. She has a rather open relationship with her mother especially, telling her most of the things going on in her life. As such, it's slowly eating away at her that she has to keep Sky a secret from the one person she trusts the most in this world. She reveres her father and hopes one day to be just like him, but the more she associates with Sky the more she wonders if she'll ever be able to have a normal job.

Hayley’s awkward social graces haven’t won her many friends. Her shy nature makes her less likely to ask for help when she truely needs it. Hayley has arachnophobia which developed in early childhood and this fear does not melt away in any situation. She's tried to start a few relationships but they have so far been unsuccessful. She does not currently have a crush or partner because Sky's concealment occupies a large amount of her time, but she’d like one!

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES: Freckles across bridge of nose, hair shoulder length kept in a ponytail

EXTRA INFO: Has a pet hamster named Reginald (Reggie for short) who can do backflips. He stays in her pocket a lot when he’s out of his cage. His fave food is yoghurt drops.

2000+ GEMS, WHAT. okay i only ever see g1s with AMAZING colors go for that much, what happened here??? OH okay you gened her, oh my god okay, i was like WHAT could make this girl cost that much, bc dont get me wrong! she's dang pretty but that's like, unbelievable for a new-ish non-g1. okay, i like the way you incorporated the pink in there despite her not having any pink in her? when you introduce a new color it can be very hit or miss and she is definitely a hit! the dark brown on the maize trail fits perfectly with the cream skink's own dark brown, and that subtle pearl underbelly is so nice! again with that long detailed backstory! dang! only recently have i gotten into building my characters really well- sometimes theyre just skeletons of charactes that could be worked on, but these guys are so nice and well-detailed and concrete, i love it
