Ashlea is the middle child and only sister of her family. Much like her older brother, she too was born with gifted psychic abilities. The power to see both the future and the past with a touch of an object. When she got older, she joined her brother Tourmaline with training. The two of them trained for years until it was time for her brother to take over the family business. Even though he spent much of his time with the shop, the siblings all remained close.

When Tourmaline passed, Ashlea was devastated. Now she had to shoulder all the responsibility he had had, and she wasn't sure she was up to the task. Her powers weren't as developed as his had been, and she was still years behind him in training. Regardless, her parents forced her to take over the shop in his place. She worked days in the fortunetelling shop, and at night worked tirelessly to improve. Her younger brother, Lucian, made sure to visit her often, and make sure she got the rest she needed.

Eventually, word reached Ashlea about a Coatl named Tourmaline who still lived in a caravan far away. She closed the shop for two weeks and left. Lucian had requested he come, but she knew the journey would be long and dangerous, and refused to put him in any danger. After all, she wasn't even sure if it was their brother. Lucian refused to listen however, and followed her. It wasn't until the third day that she stumbled upon the camp he had set up just out of sight from her. She was furious, but didn't send him away, and the two of them traveled together for a chance to see their brother again.

Eventually, the two made it to the caravan. Their leader pointed them in the direction of where the Coatl stayed, a small tent out on the outskirts of the caravan in the woods. The two were greeted by a young Spiral lady who had initially refused them, but Tourmaline had heard them and let them in. Ashlea was shocked at first to see him, after all he had been dead, and still kind of was. But she was still relieved to see him. He explained his situation to her, and she agreed to keep his location secret, to keep everyone protected until he could find out who or what had did this.

Eventually she had to leave. Lucian had demanded that he stayed, insisting on setting up his own clothing shop in the caravan. She eventually agreed, with the promise to visit often. It was hard letting her brothers go to return alone, but she knew her parents wouldn't even question Lucian being gone. She returned to her shop, working harder than ever, and keeping an ear out for any information that could be of use to Tourmaline. Little did she know however, someone was keeping an eye on her in the shadows as well.
