B I O G R A P H Y
Born of air and shade and magic of the deepest, most fundamental kind, Maisen has spent most of her adulthood in the cave-riddled cliffs bordering the Windswept Plateau. Her childhood is a mystery to her adoptive clan, but it is evident that she was born deep within Arcane territory and longs to one day return. In the words of the clan mother: "She was blown off-course one evening as a hatchling and found her way to us. We're keeping her with us until she can find a way back to her own clan, though she won't tell us much about them. I think that I doubt her story, but I won't contest it until the need arises. She's a true arcane fledgling to her core; she spends all of her time staring up at the stars and uses her own feathers for quills when one isn’t nearby. We were wary to bring her in, of course. When she first came to us it was nearly winter, and we were plagued by nearby Arcane clans sneaking into our lairs and decimating our stores. A fledgling as scrappy as she once was seemed like just another ruse to steal our fish. But she was lost and scared, so we gave her a place to stay.”

A D U L T H O O D
As a member of the clan, Maisen is the leading stargazer and fortune-teller. Her innate abilities allow her to divine the future, if only vaguely, and many times she has saved the clan singlehandedly from illness or injury. Her private quarters are littered with musty old books and grey feathers, and a towering pile of journals is balanced precariously close to the open window. She keeps a small Arcanist toy and a locket tucked in her bedding, her only mementos from her previous home.
