Biography
Two dragons flew over the dark land below them, sparsely populated from below by a few glowing lanterns and voices. "Where are we going, anyways?" Northstar asked, frowning and turning to glare at his companion Koi, who was doing delighted flips in the air.
"Halloween! My favorite holiday of the year!" Koi shouts.
Northstar wrinkled his muzzle. "Christmas is much more dignified." Who came up with the idea to go around asking for goods from strangers in creepy costumes, anyways?
"Relax, little guy. And anyways, we're helping our clan! Isn't it so awesome WE got chosen for this honor? And on my FAVORITE holiday of the year!"
To have my eardrums busted by an overexcited pearlcatcher I barely know? No thanks. NOT awesome.
But some part of Northstar didn't want to wipe the cheerful smile off of Koi's face, so he said instead. "Please don't call me little."
"Okay, sure. Wait, little guy, this is the place!" Koi pulled into a dive above a particularly creepy looking lair.
The pearlcatcher grinned as he alighted gracefully on the ground. "I think it's your turn."
"It was your turn last time!"
"Was not!"
"Fine." Northstar sighed and began to trek along the path, stopping at the end where a few jack'o'lanterns glowed.
"Trick or treat." He called. "Anyone home?"
