Cheetah, the lady in the desert.

If you've been to the desert, alone in the ever expanding sandy mountains, the hot rush of heat on your scales, the vacancy of life, then you must be familiar with the never-ending feeling of loneliness. If you've been to the desert alone, chances are you've encounter her. Cheetah, the lady of the desert. One look at her beautiful silks and well-kept scales probably caused you to shrug in disappointment, passing her off as a mirage created by your lonely mind to cease that feeling of dread in your gut. After your first encounter, you'll probably notice her more. She was always there, watching with her crisp, amber eyes and spotted, patterned scales. She'd be there as you wandered, too tired to dare spread your wings. She'd be there as you curled up to shield yourself from the burning heat and the sand biting at your body. She'd be there as you slipped into unconsciousness, your body too dry to move another step.
And she'd be gone when you woke up, alone, outside of civilization.
She's rumored to be a myth, a hoax, a mirage. But she's real, wandering the deserts. She doesn't speak, she just exists, watching and waiting in the sandy hills of the desert.
