The pounding of the forge, its rhythmic hammers hitting anvils, the heat from the furnace, this is what it was to be in the Ashfall Waste. When you fly down, into the main cave systems, you may hear a faint clang. Simply follow the way to the nearest volcano, and you will run into the forge. An rather newer forge master, Jolt followed the rebellion to the new paths. With Yang, he did some searching, and discovered a massive stream under the Obsidian Oasis, which was originally thought to have no lava or fire near it. When he's not working, he's trying to help out Jake in the Hatchery, placing his kids to good homes, or with his mate Shock, who he followed to the Ashfall Waste. Compared to her lively personality, Jolt seems quiet and slow. In reality, he's carefully about what he does, and thinks everything through. For certain creations, he'll take off one his feathers and place it on the final design. He mostly makes gears for Maisa, tools for Shock, fancy metal designs for Tercatto's sculptures, or helping with jewelry creation.

I’m glad to hear from you (and mother too, of course!). It sounds like everything at the Oasis is just the same as always. I miss everyone, of course, and it’s been hard to adjust, but I’ve finally gotten myself a job hauling trade goods and mail (and the occasional traveler) across the snows. I couldn’t be happier! My new clan trades frequently with the longneck settlements in the area, and there are always packages to transport.
